I should write that down....

So I always tell myself that I should write down the funny things my kids say. Well I am here tonight to do that.
We were on our way to St. George, and I was putting seat belts on the boys. I had put my wallet on Davis' lap and got in my seat.
He says "Mom, what about your wallet?"
I say "Oh ya wear is it?:
he says "It is on my lap."
I say, "Well, thanks for holding it for me" as he hands it to me.
He says, " No No No Mom, it was my pleasure!"
What the I just started giggling, because I couldn't believe that my 4 year old just said, it was my pleasure! Cracking me up!
About 3 hours later and after several threats made to my 2 year old that has now turned from the angel, to you know what. So I am giving him the silent treatment, and we just left the store and I hear him say to Davis...
Ky says, "Davis lets push mommies buttons!"
Davis says, "What?"
Ky says, "Davis, I'm pushing mommies buttons!"
I could of died right there. Can you believe that, seriously what 2 year old says that. I am here to tell you that we have finally hit the terrible two's!!!
So I will leave you with the things that I am so very thankful for today...
1. My family, even though they like to push my BUTTONS!
2. Cell phones, so I can call and tell my husband, sister, mom, and friends the great things the say so I won't forget.
and 3. Blogging, because it has made keeping a record of our lives more enjoyable.

One down....

Well, I must say that I have the best husband in the world. I didn't know that when I married him, he was a plumber, electrician, a concrete finisher, and painter, a tile man (I'm not sure what they are called), an awesome IKEA furniture assembler, a siding installer, and a farmer. I am sure I am forgetting many other trades. Did I score or what. Well, this is the first of 3 cement pads that we have to pour. The next one we need is for our air conditioner condenser. That is definitely is a high priority, we live down south remember. It will be 105* before we know it, and I can barely sleep when its 72* in the house. So hopefully we can get it poured before mother nature decides to cook us. Here are some pictures of the process, I had to help a little so its the beginning then the end!

BIKE RIDER

Well, after 2 days, 1 fall, and 1 skinned knee later, we finally did it, Davis is officially a bike rider. He did so good, and after his long day of riding, he says to me,
"mom, do you know why I was able to have lots of energy to ride my bike?"
I said "no why?"
He says "because I ate my pill! (vitamin)"

My mom keeps telling me that Davis beat me, she says I was 5 when I learned. So good job Davis, if I would of known that then I would of made you wait till next year! Just kidding, this video is from my cell phone, a little pixely but the other was not working.

Wrestling Night!

So the other night, I was not very tired as I usually am. (posting this @11:46 p.m.) Anyways I was pestering Kirby, while he was trying to fall asleep. You know the cold feet in the back, seeing how close I could get my finger to his nose without touching him. All that good stuff. I am almost to the breaking point with him, so at the last moment I decide to flick his boob! Ha that did it, he says, "You are in so much trouble!" Alright, so this isn't my first Rodeo people, I know I have to stay quick because his wrestling background will get me every time. I fell to the strength of my husband. So as he has me pinned and is now trying to put all of his body weight on me, I am trying to call a trues! I hear this pounding on our bedroom door. From the other side Davis yells "HIT HIM IN THE FRANK AND BEANS MOM!" I thought that Kirby and I were going to die. It was hilarious! I have learned from my 4 year old that when in doubt, hit the frank and beans!!

Clean Boys!!

So the other night it was tub time, and I really didn't want to sit in there. So Kirby was in our room watching TV so the boys took a shower. It was awesome they played in there for a while. The end was my favorite, no water all over the floor from splashing, no putting toys away. The only bad thing was that Kyron decided to wash the shower with my shampoo. Good thing I buy the expensive White Rain!!

Saving Money????

Well, Karisti and I have been on these freezer dinner kick lately. On Saturday our husbands were at her house watching the UFC fight, so we took a trip south to Mexico and did some burrito rolling!! We bought all the ingredients from Costco and went from there. With this recipe that I had we made about 100 burritos. Then we were so ambitious that we decided to try a few breakfast ones. They smelled like the McDonalds ones, so hopefully they taste as good!! My critic Kirby tasted them both today and said they tasted fine. (Not quite sure how to take that response) Anyway we think that we saved money, but who cares, we had fun!

P.S. Thanks to Grandma Nell for coming over and helping us get started and teaching us the technique of the tuck and roll!

Karisti was a little crazy while taking the pictures so I am a little blurry. Maybe she wont be asked to be the second photographer at weddings when I get a bigger business. Ha Ha just kidding

Maybe there is hope...

I always have such motivation after the last episode of the Biggest Loser. Seriously, I think that hey maybe there is hope for me. Actually Kirby and I were watching it the other night, and he said that he would gain 75 lbs with me so that we would qualify. AWE so sweet, but I better just keep going before I actually have to go to the RANCH. Anyways Allie won, and I am so in love with her personality. She only lost 12 more pounds in the last 6 weeks and she still won. I can hardly believe it. So those of you that live here, and don't see me out jogging or walking or heck see me sitting on the couch yell at me OK!!! Thanks I need a little more motivation!

My kind of shows...

These are the shows that are on my TIVO list. I think that they might be the reason why I don't think The Office it that funny. (BTW Karisti, Roz thinks I am weird too for not liking it.)

My Favorite Reality Shows...

Cry every time

Want to have their bodies

Get motivated while watching it, but then don't follow through

I seriously need to be nominated!

I am in love with this family!

My all time favorite show!!

Don't you think that Danny looks like a black version of my brother? Roz and I do!

Here are the fabulous line up of Season shows...

I love Ugly Betty it is hilarious!!

I am definitely a CSI junkie, I try to solve it before it ends!

Love the Drama!!

So good, there is always a twist!

Most of the time it scares the crap out of me, like last night,
ya I should of waited and watched it with Kirby, or during the day, not at 11:oo at night!!

So there you go, hopefully there is someone out there that shares my opinion on a few of these.

IKEA

So there are several reasons why I love IKEA!!!

1. They finally came to UTAH!

2. They are nice but reasonably priced!

3. I can spend hours there and still only buy a spatula!

4. On the rare occasion I find a super deal that makes me smile for years to come!!!

I went up North for Conference weekend. On the way there, I decided that a little detour to IKEA, might break up the 5 hour car ride. So after making through the first level smoothly, with the boys in the cart I might add, (not quite sure how I pulled that one off) I found a toy in the kids section that I would then use as bribery for the bottom level. Worked great, we made it all the way through and as I am making my way to the check out, because all I have in my cart is salad tongs, and a apple cutter. (I told you it is worth going just to buy 2 things) Anyways I decide to take a detour to the scratch and dent / AS-IS section. I struggle passing this place, my husband on the other hand won't buy a package of toothpaste if the box is damaged. I can't stay away, I feel like I am just losing money by not looking. So I make the rounds and something catches my eye... what is is? That is right, I see the picture and I almost heard singing.

That is right, I found this cabinet. For those of you that know the struggles I have been going through to find this object that is this pictureI have painted in my brain since the beginning of building our house. I have been looking for a cabinet like this to put all of our AV equipment in and just have a nice piece of furniture. So I have been looking since the summer. I found one at the DI to re-finish, SOLD too late, I found one in Cedar, $600.00 too expensive. Seriously, I was starting to lose hope! So this is the glorious tag that is staring at me. I checked the sizing like 3 times, could this be real, I have actually found this item that is even better than what I pictured. The only problem, the box was not looking so good, so I immediately think well, I'll just set it up while Kirby is at work, and he'll never see the box. Good plan I thought, so I went for it. Look at that price people, yes you are reading it correctly $74.00 originally $300.00 I freaking ROCK!!!

So I get the not so excited to be there employee, who loads the 2 boxes onto the flat bed cart for me then says alright here you go, just take to any cash register. I looked at him with the are you serious look. So I take my kids out of the cart we ALREADY HAD!!! and put them on the flat bed and check out! So I am still pumped that I have scored such a sweet prize that I go cruising out to the van. Ya Then I remember I gotta load this by myself. So I think that adrenaline was still pumping, because I lifted those 2 heavy boxes into the van, all by myself! So I had been gone from my house for 5 hours and I had already filled the van with a piece of furniture, that is seriously a record, even for me!

When I got home, Kirby was more than thrilled to help me put it together. I think that the frustration levels escalated when he realized that there were no words in the instructions, just pictures. I mean literally no words. So as you can see from the collage the range of emotions that filled our home that night.

I plan on painting it black with a distressed finish in a few months, but I didn't want to upset my handy helper anymore. So I will have to do that project during hay season while he is fast asleep!

Here is the finished project, with my husbands enthusiastic thumbs down, don't worry he got a big fat kiss for all his efforts! He really did like it when it was all done, it was just the journey that was a challenge. But isn't that the thrill of the hunt. So until I find my next extreme bargain, this will have to tie me over until then!!

Nice socks huh, he still can't go barefoot on carpet! (BABY)

I think that it looks just like the picture, not bad for a farmer!!!

Oh ya, for those of you that haven't seen his new hair, I just hope that it grows back in the same places it was before the clippers happened.

Our version of a park!!

These were taken a little while ago, but Kirby finally got off work before the sun went down, so we went and got the swing set from our old house. The boys were so excited. He had also built a sand box a couple weekends before and now the are actually entertained in the backyard. I just wish that I had a giant cement slab so they could ride there bikes out there. Oh well maybe next year!!

My Little Builder

Today my dad took Davis to Home Depot, to the Kids Day! He got to pick out of 3 projects to make, and he got a apron and a pin, and his project for FREE!!! Yes I am not kidding FREE! Davis also chose the smallest project. But I guess that they put it together, painted it, then receive their pin. So every time that they go the get a new pin so they can collect them. He was so excited too. When I got home, he was talking a hundred miles an hour telling me about it! Anyways I just wanted to post it and tell everyone that I am pretty sure that they do this every Sat. so go and have fun. If you only do it once oh well, but I am pretty sure that my dad is going to have to take Davis every time now, and maybe even Ky! It was a lot of fun.
P.S. Ignore the lovely cabinets, I am helping her refinish them this summer!!

DOGS!!!

So my mom received 2 giant shipments of dresses the night we got up here. The dress shop got really busy, so I was trying to help them. The boys also wanted to help unfortunately, so I made them dog houses. They sat in these cardboard houses for at least an hour while I worked. It was awesome. They just watched movies and pretended they were dogs!
