My little gardner...

Well, we planted our garden, to feed the deer. I was trying to be optimistic, and think that they might not want to eat my garden, because I am so nice to them. I don't hunt, hit them with my car, etc. But as I inspected this morning 2 of my tomatoes plants had been nibbled. It is still under investigation, CSI should be reporting back to me anytime. The possible suspects are deer, raccoons, or rabbits. Which ever track matches up will soon be my biggest enemy.
Anyways...
So I let Davis pick out what he wanted to plant, and he chose a strawberry plant. So here are a few pictures of his planting day. I let him do it all by himself, and to tell you the truth, it will probably be the only thing that grows this year!

Calling in the troops...

Alright Ladies, I need some help. My cousin Stacey is doing a rustic themed wedding. She was thinking, wild flowers, Daisy's, etc. Then she has a old rustic wagon that they are going to put the gifts in. Barn wood frames, a fence, but we need more ideas, and her mom is starting to stress, because it is in August. So start thinking and let me know!!

A while back Karisti and I were searching the web for enrichment ideas, and I came across this....

I am just giving a warning now, if I ever see this on someones porch, I am stealing it or egging your house, and I don't care how much I have to beg for forgiveness, this craft is just ridiculous.
That deserves an

My new love....

I want this camera so bad. I was wanting the Canon 40D it had all the right specs, and it was only like 1299.00 so I figured that was a sweet deal. I went into Camera Country here in St. George and was talking to him about it, and he informed about this little baby!
The Rebel XSI
Alright let me just compare...
the XSI has 12.2 mega pixels
the 40D has 10.2
They both have a 3 in. LCD screen
The XSI has a new battery that holds a charge longer and a faster memory processor,
so you can shoot faster.
The 40D has all the old features that I like, but would like a upgrade.
And the best part is...
the XSI is only $800.00
and remember how much the 40D costs $1299.00
Plus to top it off, the guy said that he is just going to start stocking the XSI over the 40D, because he thinks that it is a much better camera. That made me feel much better, because these guys actually know what they are talking about, unlike Inkley's. So this is my reason to save money. Hopefully it won't take too long!
If anyone would like to donate to the XSI fund there will be an account set up at
Mountain America Credit Union under "poor wife wants an upgrade!!!"

4 day get-away (longest post ever)

Well it came and it went, and we are all tired, barely showered, and had a blast! It was a lot of fun to see the whole Roundy side of the family. This was our itinerary for the weekend...
Friday...
We set out for our adventure around 11:00, and after shopping a little in Cedar City, we arrived in good ole' Escalante, Utah around 2:30 My parents had gotten there a little before us, so we just hung around, rode some four wheelers, made my brother cry, and waited for the rest of the family to arrive. ( I gave him the picture of Ash and him, it had only been 5 days since she died, so he was still a little tender hearted.) Also we found out that my cousin Stacey was engaged, Yeah her finance's name is Brett, so now I have a uncle Bret, and a cousin in-law Brett
Stacey and Brett

Saturday...
Kirby, my dad, Drew, Alec, Bret, and Gordon got up an went to the hole in the rock monument. It is about a 2.5 hour drive out there on a washboard gravel rode, and there was only 1 truck so that limited the amount that could go. He took these pictures, and was so impressed that the pioneers did this. My cousin Alec and him hiked down to Lake Powell, and he said that the hike kept going and going. By the time they made it back up he was gassed.

Can you even believe that they went through this with wagons and horses. Kirby said that it was hard enough to hike up I can't imagine that. I am sooooo glad that I was born now instead of then.

Meanwhile... I was back at my grandpa's and had gotten up to go to the flag ceremony with my mom, sister, and aunt, and my two little shadows. We puttered around most of the day. There was a craft fair there that consisted on 5 booth's but I did manage to spend money. Later that night we went to the play that my grandpa had written, while Kirby and a few of my uncles and cousins stayed home and bought the UFC fight. So it was a pretty eventful day!
Watching the pool tournement
Sunday...
I "forgot" our church clothes, so we stayed home and picked up the house a little bit, while everyone was at church. We had lunch then started making list for my cousin that will be planning a wedding in Logan while her parents are in California. So we all took a job to help out. Oh did I mention the are getting married August 15, so they have about 2 months to do this.
Later that night, we had a big cookout and shot candy out of a potato gun. we stuffed the gun full of marshmellow's and had a contest to see if we could catch one in our mouths. UNSUCCESSFUL!! It soon turned into a marshmellow war between the boys so that is when Roz and I decided to take my aunt's motorcycle for a ride. (Ya right, I was barely able to stand it up for the picture) Later that night my aunt bought glow sticks for the kids and they played forever outside on the deck. We watched Dan in Real Life and a hilarious movie that my cousins made. Around 12:30 we hit the hay!

I think that we gave the gas station in town the most business, seriously who drinks that much soda! ( We do!)
This is my cousin Dallin, I did his hair for the movie.
Roz was trying to get Ky to stop crying, so she put on his coat, then she couldn't get it off, I am not sure that I would even be able to get it on in the first place!

Monday....
Much sadness filled the air when I informed my two boys that their dirt filled weekend was over and we had to come home. We said our goodbyes until next time, which should be this August, when we crash California Roundy style!!!

It was a fun weekend, but it is always good to come home and sleep in your own bed. I am sad that is is over, because now it means that my husband will be starting his 24 hour summer job as a hay farmer, so Kirby, I'll see you in 3 months!
Until next time... Peace out!

seth

I made this collage for my brother, I thought that it turned out pretty cool. When I first got my lights for my studio, I took them up to my parents house and practiced. My kids were being "adorable" (AKA horrible) so I talked my brother into taking a few. Of course his dog was his shadow and had to be right by him. I never did anything with these pictures until now. I guess that there was a reason (that we didn't realize until now) for taking these pictures.

Brute Strength???

I am not sure what made this happen. Maybe it was that I hate cleaning so bad, that the poor broom took the abuse, or the fact that I was cleaning bathrooms that had been used my 3 boys that seem to hit the surroundings of the toilets more then the toilets themselves, which in turn cause me to sweep more aggressively. Who knows, but all I know is the broom sacrificed itself in this process. It really only made me more mad, because can I tell you how hard it is to sweep a floor with a broom that is only 2 1/2 feet tall when you are nearly 6 feet tall. Yes is was not so fun!

Can this be comfortable....

So last night on my way to bed I went in to check the boys. This is the sight that I see...

Tell me how do you get from the bed to the night stand and still be asleep, and he was still half way on his pillow. Seriously, kids are so funny. I had to take pictures to show him how funny he was.

12 hours later...

I am trying to get my house a little organized. We moved out of our old house so fast that I just threw things in boxes. Well, my kids were basically taking care of themselves today and this is what I found.

Again I ask the question Can this be comfortable?

Boys are so fun!!

Life Sucks Sometimes!

It has been a sad start to 2008 with our families pets. This cute little dog is my brother Seth's dog. Her name is Ashbury, but we called her Ash for short. She was a really cute dog, and she loved my brother like crazy. When he would take a shower, she would wait outside the door for him, and every time a door opened, she would come running, thinking it was him coming home. She was a really good, loving, licking dog! Yesterday she was hit by a car, or that is what we think, and we all are so sad. My mom said there wasn't a scratch on her, and she looked like she was just sleeping. Sometimes, life just sucks, and I am sure there is another explanation, but that is mine!

These next few pictures are of my dog Dez. Kirby and I got her shortly after we were married. She was the best dog ever. She absolutely loved the boys, and loved running around playing with them! When Davis was 2 he would try to ride her like a horse, and she would just sit there, and never once nipped or scratched. She was by far the best dog that I ever could of had for kids. Well, In the process of moving into our new house, we hadn't brought here over yet, and when Kirby went to go feed her, she had gotten tangled up in her chain. He brought her home, and I sat in the garage with her on my lap until she died. I have never been so sad before, and it still sucks! So my title to this post is the truth and I am not sure if any other title would do it justice. So I just wanted to pay tribute to two really great pets, that brought so much happiness to lots of people!

What the CSI....

I was freaking out last night, I was watching the ending of the show with my eyes covered half way! I can't believe it. If any of you out there are CSI junkies like Kirby and I are, you know what a cliff hanger that was. I know that every season ends with me acting this way, but come on, he is good looking and I like his character. I guess that in real life he got arrested for drug possession, so maybe that is the reason they shot him, but he has to come back!! AAAHH I have to wait until September. This sucks. What am I saying, I will be over it and forget about it until I see the previews for the season premiere. Anyways, I just had to vent and see if anyone else felt the same as I do!

Isn't he good looking!!

It's coming...

Only 8 days left until the greatest show ever...So You Think You Can Dance!!! I am so excited, a 2 hour season premiere THURSDAY MAY 22. You better not miss it, because it is amazing. I was not a dancer, and I never wanted to be until now. I know you are thinking about my body type, and yes aggressive sports do fit my style, but these people make you want to DANCE!!
Last years top ten!!!!!

Get Jazzed

Alright, so I must admit, that I have not seen a Jazz game probably since I got married. (6 years) My husband is not a avid sports watcher, and I have never been one either. (he watches the occasional football games during the season) Anyways, I was at my parents house last weekend, and the Jazz played games 3 and 4 and of course it was on. (swearing, cheering, giving up hope, all that good stuff) My dad thinks that he is their bad luck, so if they get down a little , he usually cusses, then leaves so they can play better. Sometimes, it works. Well, games 3 and 4 were so good that I am hooked again. So I am excited to watch tonight. Mostly because I want to see the different ways that Kobe can generate a foul called against the Jazz. Plus, I hope that his "back injury" is still bothering him, because when he missed a shot on Sunday, the pain would intensify. (Justification)

Something going around???

I have quite the day today. It all started around 11:00 last night, I was sitting at the computer and I started to get a stomach ache and I thought to myself, well, I just ate to much for dinner tonight. I laid in bed and tossed and turned all night, with a horrible stomach ache. Around 3:30, I got up started puking, I hate being sick. With Davis I threw up everyday all day for 4 months, and then with Kyron, I had to forget about it because I had another kid to take care of. So I really haven't been down and sick for a long time. I was down and sick that is for sure. I laid around downstairs, because my dad made breakfast this morning, and I smelled it and threw up again, so I stayed downstairs most of the day. I was glad that it happened while I was up here, and on Sunday so I could have my mom watch the kids. I laid on the couch while we talked to my brother and just yelled my comments in the general direction of the phone. I am finally feeling better tonight (10:30). So I am hoping that it was food poisoning, because if it was the flu, then my kids have a chance of getting it, and I really don't want that!
Here I am at 7:00 Saturday night, having a great time out to dinner with the rest of the shop's employees. This is me, Kelsey, Roz, and my mom. Michelle our helper seamstress, had to leave a little early!
Then 5 hours later BAM, this is what I was doing.
Crap I hate being sick!!!
