Cute Cousins!

I was so lucky o be able to go up and see my sister's little boys right after Elliott was born. We did these pictures when she was 5 days old and he was 8 days old. Are they not the sweetest little munchkins, ahhh I could eat them both!

Elliott Bracken

Our little girl came to our family on July 14, 2009 @ 8:12 a.m. She was 7 lbs. 10 oz. 19 inches long and has the most hair out of any of my kids!
Elliott Bracken

Where to start well, I thought I was feeling labor pains Monday night so I hung around until 11:30 then we decided to go to St. George. I am always so afraid that when I get down there they will stop and we will have to come home. We got there and they got me hooked up the machines, and the contractions stayed. By the end of the hour of monitoring they checked me again and I was still a 4, but the babies head had descended and the doc on duty made the call to keep me because I needed antibiotics for Strep B. I was so happy, because that was one of my main concerns when I found out I had Strep B with this one was that I wouldn't have enough time to get the antibiotic in me before she came. So by 2:00 I had my IV in and they had the juice pumping in my system! Well no shortly after that my contractions almost completely stopped. I was concerned but they were not, they told me that once i got the first bag in my then they would call Dr. Lunt and he would break my water and then they would start the second bag. So at 6:00 Dr. Lunt came in broke my water and checked me, I was a 5. Dang I was starting to think this was going to be a LONG day! In the mean time a new nursing staff had came on duty and she told me as soon as I got the bag of saline in me then they would get my epidural. So at about 6:45 they call the anesthesiologist to come in. By the time everything was done it was around 7:15. AS I laid there patiently and anxiously waiting for the numbness to take over my nurse checked me and informed me I was a 9. Yep I have gone 4 centimeters in about 45 mins. So they had to put the catheter in me before I was numb, but at that point I was in more pain from the contractions so it didn't matter. The cute nurse that was assisting told them to get the anesthesiologist back here to get me a block. The other nurse came over checked me and then QUICKLY informed that there was no way he would get down here in time and I was going to have this baby. I had a little panic attack as I watched Dr. Lunt and 5 other nurses come flying into the room, pulling carts out getting Dr. Lunt dressed as fast as they could. All I could do was lay there and click the epidural clicker even though I knew it would do anything it seemed to calm me down a little. Kirby was very sweet, he could see the pain and fear I was going through and stood by me, I can't remember what he was saying but just o have him there was very comforting. They had me push through 5 contractions. The pain was muted a little from the epidural but boy did I feel so pain when her head and shoulders came out. I am grateful I was at least 1/2 numb I can't imagine nor do I want to having a natural birth. My body just progressed faster than the epidural could keep up, good to know, I have never had my water broken before, so now I know to have all hand on deck for next time! She was chubby faced when she came out and looked like a little Eskimo baby. She has been a eater from the first time I tried to nurse and has not stopped. WE are so lucky that everything went so smooth and that she is healthy and had no problems. The boys love her and we are absolutely in love and I think she already has her dad wrapped around her finger!

My labor was at night so my poor hay farming husband was going on 4 hours of sleep from the previous day!

After she was born we were a very tired group!

The boys seeing her for the first time and loving the hospital bed!

At home wanting to hold her non stop!

My dad seeing her for the first time and me meeting my nephew for the first time. Roz and Drew's baby boy Nash he is 3 days older than Elliott!

She came!!!

I am sooooo happy to be done with my prego belly and have a sweet little girl in my arms. I will post some more pics in a little bit but I quickly wanted to post this one that I hurried and edited of Roz and Drew's baby Nash and our baby Elliott. I have not gone through them all, but this one is really cute. They ended up being 3 days apart! More to come...

One of the nights that Kirby was trying to sleep before going to work, we decided to go to the park! We didn't last very long, well I didn't last very long the wind was blowing and I was being a wimp. So after about 30 mins I made them call it quits. I did manage to take a few pictures of them being crazy while we were there. They would live at the park I am afraid, we really need to get a bigger swing set that they can run and jump on!

Lists...

I find myself making lists almost everyday of the things that I need to get done before the baby comes. The bad part is ... I feel like that is all I do is make the list, then never cross anything off. I have lost my husband to his job so I am afraid the big things I would like to accomplish just might have to wait! I saw this picture in an cleaning advertisement and I thought this is me, I always look like this while I am cleaning!

Pregnancy Update:

I am getting closer I have been a little annoyed lately with being pregnant. I have had a few too many comments from strangers at Walmart, and other places telling me I look like I am going to pop. It drives me crazy, I have learned to accept the comments and move on when they are from men, I figure they just really have no idea what they are talking about. The women that comment and then proceed to ask me if I am having twins or tell me I am as big as they were when they were prego with twins, those are the ones that might find themselves knocked out. I just wonder why after experiencing the felling of looking big, they would even open their mouths! Oh well, I have gotten over it and I just keep telling myself, I am not that big, even though my children think I am! Oh well!

WOW

I have become the biggest slacker when it comes to blogging. I have not been able for the life of me get myself to do this. Well everyone I have done it I caught up and I am not sure any of it is interesting to any of you, but that has been our lives for the last 5 or so weeks. I am excited to go to the doctor this Wed. time is offically flying by. Davis' last day of school in May 14 and I know after that it will be July and I will have 3 kids before I know it. We have been trying to get the nursery set up and get all the odds and ends that need to be organized and put away before my routine with 3 children becomes crazy! So I will try to stay on top of this blogging, but I walking up and down the stairs is not that fun to me anymore, so I tend to use the upstairs computer a little more. So the pictures and blogging gets put on hold! So thanks for your patience, and hopefully I will see you soon!

CUBS vs. DODGERS!

GAME 2

This was a cold one and a fun one to watch. Davis played against his two cousins Ryland and Bracken. It was a lot of fun to watch them improve from the first week. I am proud of them, it was cold and windy, but they really did great!
