Well after posting the farm accidents my hardworking husband sent me this picture from his phone of their little accident. This is sort of old news to the family, but for the rest of you, this is my father in-law's handy work!
Can I just tell you what I would have done in this situation. I think my panic button would have gone off sirens blaring. I would have then released the hay, sending the back of the squeeze crashing down to the ground below. Probably causing major damage. So I have to give props to the old man for keeping the problem under control. For those of you that don't know the out come they had a neighboring farmer, (yes we are in that small of a town that there are plenty neighboring farmers) get his loader to lower the squeeze down. My husband tried to get them to use their own loader, but they were confident that a larger one was necessary. I'll just say that he left and didn't get a picture of the completed rescue!
(Farmers tend to have their tempers flare up quite fast this time of year!)
